Release Version 0.8.4

Hey everyone especially those who have been downloading copies in the last couple days!

I realized it's been almost a year since I posted any new versions and since I will be talking about a lot of design related to this project at Roguelike Celebration, I wanted to put the updates I'd done in 2023 out to the public.

There aren't any substantial additions since I have been busy with my PhD and advancing to candidacy, but there are some niceties from last time. The biggest change is a new cost function on A* which should make your acting partner feel a little more intentional about what they are doing. I also fixed a longstanding issue with the way I had written A*'s path construction code which meant it was building the sequence of actions for the character at a different, much larger scale than the character was using to perform. Like with the cost function, this should help make the AI acting feel smoother and more intentional.

There are some small changes behind the scenes to input detection which should allow for rebindable keys and multiple input for actions in the near future! That's all that's in this patch for now.

Now to talk about the future. I was hoping to get to work finishing the script for the full release this month but I had way too much come up and haven't had a chance to. I still am hoping to get the script done and have the final game released at the end of the year but I can't make any promises right now. I'm in the dissertation writing portion and job searching part of my PhD and those eat so much time. The good news is I have been thinking and iterating on the remainder of the script and it's got a direction I am much more satisfied with and want to be able to share it with all of you!
