Release Version 0.8.0


I said I wasn't uploading new versions until the game is completely done but it turns out that finally sitting down and hashing out one particular technical problem I've been wanting to for years made enough of a change that I wanted to get it out into the world as soon as I could. The TL;DR is that the AI got a significant overhaul to make it a better performance partner. It should be significantly less jittery and also not get stuck in certain poses or expressions quite as often.

For anyone following who wants a more detailed account, this is for you. For basically this game's entire development up to now, the search function the AI uses to decide its next move has been called every frame and was also evaluating its emotional state simply based on which action it could take would increase the value of its goal emotion the most. The constant re-evaluating of decisions led to the AI being able to, and often constantly, flipping between actions every frame making for a jittery and unreadable performance. Now the AI only changes its goals every once every 30 hertz (twice a second) and while this may not be the final value, it stabilizes a lot of the way it behaves. As for the emotional state evaluation, it now looks at the aggregate difference between the current value of its emotional goal and every other emotion it is capable of expressing. This means that the AI is both better at actually expressing what it wants to as well as being more deliberate about each action it takes.
